Humanist Naming Ceremonies
A wonderful, positive ceremony, at which your baby or child is presented to the family and friends and welcomed to our world.
We will hear from Mum or Dad, of their joy and hopes for the future. Perhaps other ‘special adults’ will make dedications and offer promises. My job, as celebrant, is to meet your child and get to know of his/her ‘star qualities’ and emerging personality. Who is there amongst friends and relatives who can read a poem? Or sing? Or deliver a reading? I will be keen to involve them in the ceremony, in that way it is personalised, special to you.
Naturally the Naming Ceremony will involve joy, lots of laughter and fun. It can be at a place of your choosing, inside or outside, in a garden or woodland setting. Our imaginations will work together to fashion a ceremony that will leave you happy and fulfilled…and probably exhausted!
