For Cremations and Burials: including my expenses

Service at a Crematorium (known as a single slot), or a Graveside Burial:

Longer, double time/slot services at a Crematorium, or an Indoor Service followed by Graveside Burial:

For Celebrations of Life, Memorial and Remembrance Services within the M25: including my expenses

I always bring along a Bluetooth speaker, so that any service, anywhere, can include music.

For Ashes Interment/Scattering Only: including my expenses

For a 15-minute service, including music, at any legal place for this within the M25:

Please note, I work for you and keep in touch with your funeral director along the way: you may pay me directly before the service or ask for my fees to be placed on your overall bill with them: most funeral directors will be happy to let you do this, please let me know if this is what you want to do.

I am willing to travel beyond London and Kent to help you but if I live very far from you, I may ask you to cover any extra travelling expenses I incur for meetings with your family/to get to the service itself: but I will let you know this at the time we first discuss your needs.

Optional Extras

A personal video tribute made from family photographs and set to one track of music up to 4 minutes in length: for an extra charge of £60 on top of my regular fee, including a copy to keep, which I will give to you on a USB. For longer tributes than 4 minutes, please talk to me about your needs and I’ll give you a quote.

If you prefer to upgrade from a USB to a Video Memory Book, I can obtain and load those Video Books for an additional £80.

Home video footage can be incorporated to any photo slideshow I make for you, as well as photographs.

Word slides, photographs, extra music, messages and captions can work well to create a video mini-history of a life: like a story in pictures and music, with word slides marking important milestones and events along the way. For these and any other special video/music requests: talk to me and I’ll give you a bespoke quote, based on the time it will take me to make it for you.

Finding live musicians to play at a service:

If you would like to hire classical musicians to play live at a service, I can suggest some names and find contact details for you. I know many of the very best available, but I play no part in discussing their fees, which you will need to do directly.

Where I Work

I mostly work throughout London and Kent: areas where I know the sights and sounds of the local communities very well. I'm happy to work anywhere in the UK and especially willing to travel, when my particular skills are needed.
Extra Skills I Bring to My Work as a Celebrant

I used to work in the Performing Arts, as a musician (violinist), having studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and joined a famous company in my first job. I learnt quite a few musical instruments as a child- some of which I gave up, some I kept going. I performed across the world, both live and on film and video game soundtracks. I've also performed in wedding, funeral, memorial and fundraising events for the Royal Family and once, even at the Vatican, for Pope John Paul II. Music is still so important to me: I am constantly listening to music of all kinds.

I am able to offer families expert help with the music and/or video for the service- it can be so important to have that handled personally. I can make photo slideshows for you to keep and can collect the photos from you, or scan them, when we meet.

If the funeral venue does not have equipment to play music, I have a range of portable equipment I can bring, to suit every size of venue and acoustic: even for services outdoors and if we are unfortunate enough to encounter rain. If you are holding a funeral or memorial service in a non-traditional setting, and need to have it streamed online: I can recommend someone absolutely excellent whose work I have personally seen.
