About Sarah Lovatt

I’m Sarah Lovatt and I LOVE WEDDINGS!

I’m a theatre director and performer at an award winning theatre company I founded many years ago.

I love my job but I couldn’t get away from the fact that one of my favourite things to do is go to weddings! A couple of years ago I went to a wedding ceremony and watched a congregation smiling politely and someone even yawning.

It hit me! This CAN’T be the ONLY way to get married!!! Why , in order for a wedding to be ‘real’, does it have to be the same ceremony as everyone else?

So I did some research and find Humanist weddings. I loved what the whole ethos of being able to create ceremonies that weren’t based on just one template and went from there.

I have just been accredited as a Humanist Wedding Celebrant and ready to create an utterly unique wedding ceremony that celebrates YOUR love and YOUR relationship.

And we do it together. Together we create together your perfect ceremony.

A ceremony that you and your loved ones will remember forever.

Personal. Unique. Yours.

This is what my last lovely couple, said about me:

“After deciding that we wanted a humanist celebrant, we spent hours phoning round different qualified and recommended people; however, my phone call with Sarah just stood out the rest and my husband felt the same too after Sarah had made time to speak to him too. It was a no brainer. From then on, Sarah held our hand every step of the way and was very happy to offer suggestions or ideas for how to structure the service; although she was very welcoming of any unique and personal aspects we wanted to add to the service. From the start, Sarah emanated warmth and fun and we lost track of time during our meet ups, one of which even had a dinner invitation attached – we just felt so comfortable around her!
On the big day, Sarah was professional yet made the whole ceremony feel very personal and warm, and broke down any potential barriers or confusions that may have occurred for any guests who were not familiar with humanism. It was a ceremony of smiles, giggles and love – what else could you want?!”
