I’m Sarah, a London based wedding celebrant as well as an event host, speaker and podcaster.

A few years ago I appeared on Don’t Tell the Bride (BBC Three) to host and marry James and Holly on top of a multi storey car park in Peckham. It was so brilliant to find out their story and then write and perform a ceremony for them, based exactly around who they are and what they wanted most. It prompted me to retrain and become accredited with Humanists UK to perform wedding ceremonies across the country.

I’ve always loved how much thought and love goes into every detail of a wedding. I love the moments that have been created to celebrate who you are as a couple as well as delighting and surprising your guests. I believe a wedding ceremony should be exactly the same. No two weddings are the same so no two ceremonies should be.

You can be as big, fun, fabulous and outlandish or as intimate, modest and informal as you want to be. I design personal, bespoke ceremonies entirely around the two of you and celebrating everything that is unique and special about you.

The joy of a Humanist ceremony is you have total ownership and it can include everything you want. All of the words, readings, songs, symbolic gestures and anything else you can think of, can be tailor made to you. I know this can be a bit daunting at first if you’re not absolutely sure what you want but fear not, we will work closely together on creating something that is as fun, creative, intimate and formal as you want.

Weddings are the most joyful and loving of occasions and it would be an honour to be able to celebrate your love by creating a ceremony and space that is comfortable, confident and above all, happy.
