My name is Sarah Stewart and I am a fully accredited Humanist Wedding Celebrant based in Northern Ireland.

As your celebrant I will get to know you both as a couple, your life together and work with you to create a personalised, bespoke wedding ceremony that is written especially for you. It’s a partnership…for the brief moment in time we spend together getting to know each other so I can truly represent you, your story so far and your hopes and aspirations for your future together as a married couple. I write ceremonies that are light-hearted and fun, that capture your essence as a couple, tell your love story and help you write personal vows if you wish. I can recommend readings, discuss music, advise on symbolic actions as well as guiding you on how to adapt rituals and other things to suit you and your preferences….. anything really!

The fantastic thing about Humanist Weddings is that there are no rules! There are no special formalities you have to follow and therefore you are free to choose and include anything you like; poetry, music and symbolic actions are all there for your choosing. Of course, there is a very important legal process that must be followed that I am trained and accredited by Humanist UK to officiate, but aside from that, we can get as creative as you want!  What Humanist UK ceremonies allow you to do is get married in a way that is so personal and meaningful to you, your guests will be in no doubt who’s wedding they are at! Everything that is included in the ceremony is there because you want it to be, because it’s important to you and it represents who you both are in a way that is truly touching. It creates opportunities to include symbolic rituals, blend cultures, include family and friends in a way that is inclusive and really quite magical… they really are wonderful things!
