I am a Funeral Celebrant accredited by Humanists UK to provide non-religious Funerals and Memorial Services in Sunderland and surrounding local areas. Born and bred in Sunderland, I worked with children and their families for twenty seven years before training to be a Funeral Celebrant.

For ever growing numbers of people, a Humanist Funeral can be the most appropriate way of saying a final goodbye to a loved one. Not only does it bring people together to share and express their sadness, but importantly, it also celebrates the life lived in a way that is unique and sincere.

This is understandably a very sad and difficult time, so it is very important that I help support you in creating a funeral ceremony which best reflects the person, who they were and what they meant to those around them. Working with you, I’ll gather their life story and, if needed, help you with ideas for poems, readings and music. I will also support you in making your own contributions, and those of family and friends, in order to make this a truly personal ceremony by which to remember your loved one and celebrate their life.
