Tracy Staskevich

Hello, I’m T.
As a humanist celebrant, I work on your behalf to create and deliver a ceremony that is warm, heartfelt and in keeping with the personalities and beliefs of the people involved. What all my ceremonies have in common is love – whether celebrating a couple’s incredible story or a new arrival in the family to a heartfelt celebration of life ceremony for a much loved family member or friend.

Humanist Ceremonies are unique, warm and inclusive – they are ceremonies for everyone.

A bit about me

I live on the border of Bucks/Oxon border at the edge of the Chiltern hills and have worked in the creative industries for most of my career as a design, brand and messaging expert. I have been lucky enough to work closely with many charities throughout my career and also co-founding a national cancer charity myself over ten years ago. Outside of work I dabble with painting and I also write.

I became a celebrant because of my joy of meeting new people and sharing in their stories, whether they are fabulously romantic and funny stories of love, or warm and heartfelt memories of a life well-lived. Stories and our shared life experiences are the things that bind us all together – they can bring us joy and comfort through life’s biggest moments.

Lovely words – weddings

“Thanks so much for being the most incredible celebrant EVER! We are so lucky that you were able to create such a beautiful ceremony. We will treasure the memories forever.”

“T is so warm and fun – we just instantly clicked as soon as we spoke. We weren’t really sure what we wanted for our ceremony but she guided us through our choices and when we first read her ceremony script we were over the moon! She had captured us perfectly and her recounting of the story of how we met had us laughing out loud (and reaching for the tissues at the soppy bits). We can’t wait to get married, just because we know we have this perfect and memorable ceremony that will involve all our guests and make everyone feel special on our day!

“We had so many people come up to us and say so many lovely things not just about the vows and the song, but specifically about what a beautiful job you did, and how much they loved the humanist approach. We’re very grateful, and so happy you were with us for this incredibly important milestone in our lives.”

“Thanks so, so much for conducting our ceremony, we had really the most amazing time and all of our guests commented about how they had never been to such a personal and fun service before. We are super grateful that we were able to find you!”

“Wow! The script is amazing! How on earth am I not gonna cry whilst all of that is going on!? Thank goodness for waterproof mascara. T, it really is beautiful – thank you so, so much.”

T is such a warm and friendly person who will instantly put you at ease. We loved how she told the story of our romance with such imagination and joy! The ceremony she wrote was completely “us” and totally special.

Lovely words – funerals, memorials & namings

“T took the funeral of my partner who died young, and did a brilliant job of crafting the perfect ceremony that included our young children and all the family. Tracy’s natural compassion and empathy made it so easy for me to leave her to find the right words. We laughed and we cried but it brought us all together. I can’t recommend her enough.”

“T did an amazing job with my Dad’s funeral, not only did she provide such an incredibly sensitive service but this was reflected in the ceremony itself. By learning about who my Dad really was as a person and what he meant to people, T was able to reflect this in the content, style and tone of the ceremony. It was a celebration of colour and kindness – all in all the perfect tribute to my Dad.

“It was my first Humanist funeral, so different to what we have in Poland, but carried out by T with great tact, dignity and delicacy. She created such a wonderful atmosphere as my son was bid farewell by his friends and family in a warm and loving way. T has immense personal empathy and her words were extremely moving, included so many joyful memories of my son’s life. I am so grateful to her for creating and leading the ceremony with such sincerity and integrity.”

“Thank you so much for everything. You captured the essence of our Mum and we cannot thank you enough for that.”

“It really meant a lot to us, and definitely made Alice’s naming ceremony feel extra special. It was the perfect day and we really enjoyed it. You took a lot of the stress out of organising and you also explained everything so well and added lots of personal touches which we really appreciated as did all our friends/family.”
