I am a Humanist Wedding Celebrant based in the beautiful Buckinghamshire countryside close to Thame, where I live with my husband and our lively springer spaniel Miley.

I spent 25 years in the travel industry in various senior sales roles before switching industries to the charity sector as a corporate fundraiser which I find immensely rewarding. I love meeting new people and my day job has always been about building relationships based on trust and telling stories with passion.  My role as a Wedding celebrant is a natural extension of doing what I love, and as a romantic at heart, I find it a huge privilege to be a part of any wedding.

I first discovered Humanist ceremonies several years ago at a wedding of a close friend and I was completely blown away. It was a ceremony that described my friends’ personalities and their love story perfectly; it was uniquely theirs, fun, celebratory, filled with music, readings, love and laughter and it really stayed with me. Afterwards I thought, I wish we’d opted for a Humanist ceremony for our own wedding, rather than the impersonal civil registry office service, which was all done and dusted in less than 20 minutes.

The beauty of a Humanist wedding is the freedom that comes with it. Your wedding will be exactly how and where you want it. Small and intimate, formal and traditional, or unconventional and quirky, the choice is completely yours. And whether you have a clear idea about what you want for your ceremony, or need some help and guidance, by working together, we will create a meaningful and impactful ceremony that is full of significance and tells your story exactly how you would like it to be told. We will also ensure your family and friends feel part of the ceremony as we celebrate your love, friendship and values together. I strive to create a ceremony that expresses you and your story perfectly and that you will remember for the rest of your lives.

So how does it work?

• First get in touch – You can message me on Instagram vicky.thecelebrant, call  07753 351730 or frithv@hotmail.com
• Once you’ve agreed you would like to go ahead and we have confirmed the date, we arrange to meet. You tell me your plans for your wedding celebration and how you would like us to approach the ceremony.
• We will keep in touch, and I will work on your personal ceremony script. I can also advise and support you as needed as we discuss your personal vows, music, readings and rituals
• Before the big day itself, we’ll carry out a full rehearsal
• After the wedding you will receive a beautifully presented wedding script for you to keep and reflect on for years to come.

I would love to help you create the right non-religious ceremony for you. Whilst I am based in Buckinghamshire, I am happy to travel. I also perform ceremonies for vow renewals and anniversaries.
