Hi there,

Thank you for visiting my website. I hope the information on this page is helpful to you; if you’d like to understand further or have any questions, please call me on 07780606826 or email me on becky.jeffries@humanistceremonies.org.uk, I’d be more than happy to talk it through with you.

Creating the perfect ceremony for you

As a funeral celebrant, my job is to work with you to create a memorable ceremony and to help ease the process as you prepare to say goodbye. Like most of us, I’ve had my own experiences with grief; I’m passionate about creating space to celebrate your loved one and to share the stories that will stay with you long after the ceremony itself. I currently work across Berkshire and Hampshire, though would be happy to travel further.

A bit about me

I’ve lived in and around Reading for most of my life, currently living just over the Berkshire/Hampshire border. I have a young family, who are a constant reminder of how extraordinary life is. I have a background in project management across multiple industries, most recently in the public sector.

What is a Humanist funeral?

You don’t have to be a member to have a Humanist ceremony; if you believe in celebrating the life of your loved one free from religion, focussing on the experiences you shared, then a Humanist funeral could be the right option for you.

Arranging a funeral can be an overwhelming experience; once you’ve decided on a Humanist ceremony, I’ll work with you and your chosen Funeral Directors to create a personal service for your loved one. I’ll meet with you to talk through the service, music and readings, answer any questions, and to most importantly hear about the life we’re celebrating. If you’re looking to design a unique and bespoke ceremony – perhaps a memorial service at home or spreading of your loved ones ashes somewhere special – we can work together to create the perfect occasion.

And don’t worry if you don’t know any of the answers just yet, we can work that out together.
