A wedding is a wonderful opportunity to provide a perfect memory on which to start married life for any two people in love, who want to demonstrate commitment to one another.When you start to plan your special day, it is sometimes difficult to see beyond the dress, flowers, cake and cars to the actual ceremony.  As a celebrant, I pride myself on being able to capture the essence of the couple and design for them a personalised ceremony, linking to the vision that they already have.

I feel hugely privileged to be in a position to offer my services to design a bespoke, non-religious wedding ceremony working closely with the couple to get things ‘just perfect’.  I still remember the excitement of my wedding day as if it were last week.  I have also been the mother-of-the-bride and the mother-of-the-groom.  I believe I have all the experience of life, family relationships and understand also the pressures which confront the bridal couple on their special day an I’m equipped with the sensitivity to overcome the most delicate ones!

I am happy to listen and implement your ideas or contribute ideas if that’s what’s needed. Having done a considerable number of ceremonies I’ve lots of ideas but what’s important to me is that you get the ceremony you want!

You can hold your Humanist ceremony practically anywhere you can think of – we are only restrained by the limits of our imagination!  It can also be tailored to include any particular requirements that you like such as symbolic acts or incorporating ‘key’ guests such as children or other relatives or even pets into the ceremony itself.

I live in Hertfordshire on Junction 22 of the M25 and Junction 6 of the M1 and I am willing to travel anywhere reasonable.

I am a retired secondary school teacher who is thoroughly enjoying using my communication skills to benefit those who require a quality, unique ceremony, delivered in a professional way by someone who is always willing to “rise to the occasion”.  Humanism is very much a ‘people’ philosophy and is the perfect vehicle for a ‘person-centred’ ceremony.  Do not feel obliged to be totally familiar with the Humanist concept in order to book a non-religious humanist ceremony – I’d be only to happy to explain more when we meet.
