I offer wedding ceremonies, vow renewals and commitment ceremonies.
How it works…
First of all, we would arrange a “no obligations” meeting where you can decide if I am your ‘cup of tea’ or not.
Then, if you choose me, we would get to know each other via a phone call, zoom, or a face to face meet-up. At this point, I can find out all about you, both as a couple and as individuals. This collecting of information enables me to provide you with the best ceremony that would reflect your own personalities, be authentic, meaningful, and of high quality.
I take pride in finding out about those key elements, those idiosyncrasies that make you you!
Your story would become a big part of my life.
Once I have all the information I need I then write an original, personalised and well-written script for you to read then amend (should that be necessary).

This big life moment is all about both of you, but we can include whoever you want in the ceremony. We can decide on music, appropriate readings, and symbolic acts if you want any or all of these elements.
You might want to write your own vows, if not, I have a range of vows for you to choose from to suit any couple.
I have lots of ideas to share with you should you need them, but equally, if you have it all planned out I can help you to bring it all to life.
If required, we could have a rehearsal.
By the time it comes to leading the ceremony, I will have thought through each part many many times. I always arrive at the venue way too early to make sure I avoid traffic. Also, I like to talk to key people such as the photographer. (I actually like to talk to anyone!).
When the big day arrives, we already know each other. I think this is pretty important as I’m going to marry you. A familiar, smiley face at the end of the aisle can calm the nerves.
Once everyone is assembled, we’d take your special wedding guests on a journey of joy. There would be humour, without taking away from the seriousness of the commitment. They may even shed a tear at that specially chosen reading or when you exchange your carefully selected vows.
By the end of the ceremony, we will have won the congregation over, and they too will love what a Humanist wedding offers.
You will also receive a professional presentation copy of the script as a keepsake for all to share.
