Naming ceremonies for children

A new addition to the family

A new addition to the family

Welcoming children into the world is a magical thing. Celebrating their arrival with close friends and family with a non-religious naming ceremony is a lovely way of confirming their place in your family, and perhaps witnessing promises about how your child will be cared for.

Such ceremonies can take place in your home, a garden, a barn or a traditional venue like a village hall, hotel room, or pub. Often children are involved, too. Some read poems, tell a story about their new brother or sister or just join in!

This makes for a fun and happy occasion.

The words of your personally written ceremony will be yours to keep, along with your memories and photos from the day.
