Welcome
Hello, I’m Sarah.
I’m a Humanist wedding celebrant trained and accredited by Humanists UK. I specialise in crafting beautiful, meaningful and deeply personal wedding ceremonies for one-of-a-kind couples. I am based in East Grinstead, and work mainly in Sussex, Surrey and Kent.
Whether you’re newly engaged, you’ve been planning your wedding for some time, or you’re hoping to renew your vows – congratulations!
You might have found your way here because you don’t want a religious ceremony. But perhaps you’d like something more bespoke and personal than a typical civil ceremony. An occasion that is completely custom-made for you. You’ve come to just the right place!
The beauty of a Humanist ceremony is that there is no set formula. You are free to design something that is completely unique to you as a couple. And of course, because a Humanist ceremony does not require a licence, it can take place wherever you like – be it a historic building, hotel, village hall, garden, park, hillside, field, woodland, beach or family home.
It doesn’t matter whether you think of yourselves as Humanists or not: I’d love to help you find just the right blend of elements to create a ceremony that reflects your values, your love, your wishes for your marriage and your future life together. I’m delighted to work with all couples, regardless of sex, sexuality or gender identity. It’s my privilege to listen and ask questions in order to understand how your love can best be celebrated and how I can help you reflect who you are.
Your ceremony can include any combination of traditional and more offbeat features. Classic and dignified… quirky and playful… relaxed and low-key – what’s right is what works for you! Together we will set the tone, craft the content and create the atmosphere that are perfect for you – and I can provide as much or as little guidance as you need.
Please have a look at the following pages for some more information about me and the process for planning your perfect ceremony. Your wedding day is one of life’s most significant occasions, and it’s important that you choose the right celebrant for you. If you think that could be me, then please get in touch!
