About me and my work

Lead Celebrant Image Natasha GrayHello! Thanks for finding me and for taking an interest in humanist ceremonies. My name’s Tasha Gray. I’m a free-thinking, open-minded, experienced humanist celebrant.

Based in Brighton, I’m happy to travel. I’m frequently in London (my BF’s in Bow) and happy to work anywhere in the South East, or even abroad.

My own wedding website, with glowing reviews from some of my lovely couples, useful information & free resources is: thehumanistwedding.com (You can read some of the kind words of couples with whom I’ve worked here).

I’ve been a humanist wedding celebrant since 2014, when I gained my accreditation in time to marry my brother (always fun to say!). I’ve worked as a wedding celebrant, alongside my day job in marketing and communications, whilst raising my daughter on my own. She’s now gone to university, so I have more free time to focus on my role as a humanist celebrant. So this year, I gained accreditation as a funeral celebrant.

I’m passionate about equal rights for everyone, the environment, and treating others as we wish to be treated ourselves. I like hanging my hat on humanism as it neatly sums up my beliefs.

Although atheist, I’m not anti-religious, and respect the importance religion might play in other people’s lives. I’ve enjoyed working with people who have had different family religious or cultural backgrounds. One of the beauties of having a humanist ceremony is that it can incorporate a melting pot of different influences, whilst remaining non-religious and focussed on the person or couple.

It is a pleasure and a privilege to be chosen to create and conduct a ceremony to mark an important milestone in people’s lives, or celebrate the life of someone you’ve loved. Please feel free to contact me, via text or email, to arrange a free chat about humanist ceremonies.
