Moyra did a fantastic job and totally came on board with our medieval themed wedding. She helped us adapt a medieval wedding script so that it suited our less religious requirements; she researched medieval poetry; she performed the medieval ceremony including a hand-fasting; she came up with an idea of audience participation that we took to another level to make the ceremony unique to us and our guests; she even dressed the part that was in-keeping with our theme, and she helped us with how to play our parts and what actions to do in a rehearsal. All this on top of a much more meaningful and thoughtful humanist ceremony with our story, reasons why we love each other, and especially chosen readings and poems made it so different, so unique, and so special to us. Moyra guided us along the way with several drafts to create a truly memorable ceremony. She added suggestions of meaningful readings in the right places, how to make hand-fasting ribbons, and even how to hold hands! Her support was invaluable to us in making it all just perfect. Thank you so very much Moyra! She enabled us to marry in just the way we wanted and intended with the right mixture of medieval and modern, meaningful words and actions, and humour and laughter that sums the pair of us up and will have our guests talking about for years to come. Moyra added a lovely element to our wedding. It added so much more meaning to be involved in writing the ceremony and personalising our promises. It also added a bit of humour and set the tone for the whole day. A lot of the guests commented that it was the most enjoyable and interesting wedding ceremony they had attended. We chose Moyra Summers because she was fairly local to us and had a twinkle in her eye. Moyra was wonderful from the word “go”. She really helped us get our wonderful story across to all our friends and family in a humorous way but still with a seriousness underneath about our love and commitment to each other. Moyra is extremely organised and sends drafts of the ceremony until it is perfect. On the day she was fantastic, allowing us to be ourselves but always ensuring we told the whole story. We loved the whole family being involved and the ribbon fastening with our grandchildren was a beautiful and meaningful part of the ceremony.
