Costs and Fees
Costs for 2025
The cost of a naming ceremony is currently in the range of £275-£300 (depending on date, location and ceremony venue). Siblings can be included in this price; other family members would incur a small additional fee.
I ask for a £125 deposit on confirmation of booking, and this will secure the date of your ceremony in my diary, and the balance will be due in the week of the ceremony. I am also happy to discuss an instalment payment plan to spread the cost.
I’m happy to offer an informal no-obligation consultation, usually by phone, where we can chat and discuss options regarding a booking, and check that a naming ceremony is right for you, and most importantly that I am the right celebrant for you.
My inclusive fee includes
Meeting with you to find out some background information about the child/children being named and the important people in their life, including guideparents if you are opting for this, and if there are siblings or other young children you would like involved in the ceremony. We’ll also discuss ideas that’ll shape and help create the perfect ceremony for you.
I offer guidance about the order of the day and how you would like the day to run, including parental promises, guideparent pledges, readings, poetry, music, singing or rituals you might like (please see the previous page for ideas).
After we meet I write a bespoke draft script which will then be forwarded to you and I’ll make any agreed amendments/additions etc.
I also offer to liaise with any guideparents directly, and work with them regarding any readings or words that they might like to say on the day (this is often a lovely moment for parents).
I’ll professionally and calmly conducting the ceremony itself at your chosen venue.
If required I produce parent, sibling and guideparents certificates as mementos of the day.
In a week or so after the ceremony I’ll also forward a presentation keepsake copy of the script.
“Thank you so very much for Saturday, everyone said how moving they found the ceremony and how lovely it was. I personally loved it. Thank you so much for taking such care over it. Again, a huge thank you, it was so very special to welcome X under your guidance. I felt very fortunate and lucky”.
