Pre-Planned Funerals
Pre-planning your own funeral can bring comfort and peace of mind to both you and your loved ones, and it is a thoughtful and kind act.
If there are no plans left or discussed for a funeral ceremony, loved ones may have to guess what your wishes might be, and this can cause upset, confusion and potential disagreement at an already difficult and challenging time.
Humanist UK’s pre-planning service allows you to discuss your funeral wishes in advance and if you wish these will be recorded and saved in a repository.
If you are interested in pre-planning, I can talk with you about the type of funeral or memorial service you would like to have, who you wish to be involved, the music you would like and any poems or readings that you would like included. I will also be able to discuss with you other ways to make the ceremony unique and meaningful.
Your wishes will be recorded and securely stored. Any notes or scripts that I write will be kept in a secure repository held by Humanists UK, and if when the time comes, If I am unable to deliver your ceremony, it can be delivered in accordance with your wishes by another member of the Humanist Ceremonies Celebrant Network.
My fee for pre-planned funerals depends on the level of service you require, initial enquiries are free of charge and then there are a range of fees for consultation on the process, script writing or full ceremony delivery.
