Wherever you choose to hold your celebration a humanist wedding offers the opportunity to have the style of ceremony that you want in your chosen location. Indoors or outdoors, formal or informal, every humanist wedding is a unique event carefully crafted for you.

We have so many great venues in this area to suit all tastes and budgets. The lovely Norman Court near Salisbury, the Ancient Technology Centre in Cranborne, St Giles House at Wimborne St Giles, the smaller but lovely Branksome Dene Room overlooking the sea, Sopley Mill, True lovers Knot in Tarrant Keyneston as well as the beach, camp sites, hotels, your own garden and so many more.

How does it work?

Call or email me and we can talk through the process, then we can meet, discuss and plan the day based on the ideas you have and the things you want to happen. Remember it is your day and your ceremony that needs to be right for you.

We can include symbolic actions and rituals (for example: hand fasting, ring warming, sand/spice blending, broom jumping), readings, poetry/prose, family and friends, the wedding vows, the exchange of rings.

I will then prepare the ceremony script for your approval, making any changes you want. I am happy to attend, and recommend having, a rehearsal as this helps everyone to know where, and when, they need to be and makes for a stress free ceremony. On the day itself I will be on hand if anything needs checking and to conduct the ceremony.

What is included?

• An initial visit to discuss the ceremony (your ideas, rituals, vows, readings etc.),
• A second, in person or on-line visit (further visits can be discussed if needed),
• The preparation of the ceremony script,
• The rehearsal (prior to the day),
• The conducting of the ceremony,
• A symbolic certificate,
• A presentation copy of the Wedding Ceremony (a pdf can also be made available).

Fees

My fee to lead a wedding ceremony is £650 (covers weddings within 45 miles of Bournemouth, a small additional charge may be required for venues further afield).
